Mace Construct will change its name to Forco after continuing to trade under its current identity until the new year, the UK contractor has said in a statement. The company described the new name as concise, distinctive and easy to pronounce.

The change follows the March separation of Mace Construct and Mace Consult into two separate businesses. Under that arrangement, Mace Consult retained the Mace brand, while the construction business is now preparing to operate under its own name.

Mace Construct will keep its existing name until the new year, then begin trading as Forco. The rebrand is due to be introduced with a new corporate strategy that is to be unveiled alongside productivity targets through 2030.

Mark Reynolds, Executive Chair, said the business had spent 35 years raising standards and helping to move the industry forward. He said the Forco name reflects a commitment to being the UK’s most forward-thinking contractor and its most productive by 2030, according to the statement.

Reynolds also said that culture, values and people would remain central despite the name and brand change. Clients should expect the same teams, the same approach to delivery and the same focus on creating lasting places and infrastructure, he added.
